The Garter Toss is all about glitz and glamour on a budget. Where you have the freedom to serve your guests hot dogs and champagne.

And we love celebrating ALL things: marriage, staying married (vow renewals), milestone birthdays, baby/wedding showers, retirement, graduation, Vikings watch party…

Save on food costs: No required caterers or minimums to reach
Save on drinks: you don't have to go through a caterer, you can buy your own booze
Save on DJ costs: In house sound system and mic set up, you can use a Spotify playlist

About The Garter Toss

There are 2 things that have made this place possible and wonderful.

First, Facebook Marketplace.

Every bit of furniture and decor was personally picked up at a random person’s house or business. Among them are a 1986 Honda motorcycle, thirty-six 1980s diner chairs, a mirror and lacquer bar (used as the DJ booth), cocktail tables from Betty Dangers, a salon station and mirrors from Rita Amborn.

Second, the City of North St Paul.

The warmth and kindness of this city is something else. It feels like a small town right next to the Twin Cities. But in a friendliness way, not in a judgey or ‘scared of outsiders’ way. I think it’s partly because they have car shows every Friday in the summer so there is a strong sense of community and pride.

Wedding Package

Half day option 1
9 am – 3 pm (6 hours)

• Saturday: $1,500
• Sunday: $1,000

Half day option 2
5 pm – 11 pm (6 hours)

• Friday: $1,600 (car show)
• Saturday: $2,000
• Sunday: $1,000

Full day
9 am – 11 pm (14 hours)

• Friday: $1,800 (car show)
• Saturday: $2,800
• Sunday: $1,500

Wedding Package Rental Includes

• Up to 100 guests.
• A variety of tables and chairs.
• Sound system with speakers and mics. A couple can use a playlist or hire a DJ.
• The projector can be used for photo/video or karaoke.
• In-house officiant, Ash Oliver. Or a couple can provide their own officiant.
• There are no required caterers for food. All food coming in must be prepared. There is no catering kitchen on site, but there is access to a fridge, freezer, and sink.
• Alcohol can be purchased and brought in by the couple
• Access to an impressive collection of decor, props, and beauty room accessories.
• Assistance in executing a theme.
• Any color uplighting and dance lights.
• Prime location on a well-kept main street. Six bars within a few blocks of the chapel, so if folks want to keep the party going, head next door.
• North St Paul is 10 miles from downtown St Paul and 15 miles from downtown Minneapolis. The chapel is right off Highway 36, by the snowman.
• Two free public parking lots are behind the chapel.
